Grown Home
In developmentBuying local food should be easier.
Connecting local producers with nearby buyers.
The problem
People who grow or make food in a neighborhood have no simple way to sell it to the people nearby, and buyers have no way to find them. Big stores and delivery apps solve a different problem.
Eddie's role
Founder and builder.
Stage
In development.
What informed the approach
Community-first: the product should respect the producer, keep the relationship between neighbors direct, and stay transparent about what is being sold and by whom.
What was built
A hyperlocal marketplace for producers and nearby buyers.
What is known so far
Early. No usage claims.
Limitations and next evaluation
Two-sided marketplaces fail on density. The first test is one neighborhood with enough producers to be worth a buyer's visit.
